Section I: NERO Membership Purchase or Renewal

Step 01) Submit the Yearly Membership Fee Payment to the NERO Office HERE!

Step 02B. The NERO LARP Legal Release Form. Print and mail this to the NERO Office below or bring it with you to your first event. Many Local NERO LARP Chapters require you to fill this out for each event.

Step 02C. The NERO LARP Legal Guardian / Minor Release Form, if applicable. Print and mail this to the NERO Office below. Chapters may require you to fill this out when you arrive at an event.

Step 02D. The Insurance Company's Legal Release Injury Damage Waiver Form - This must be submitted to NERO National and it must be submitted to every NERO Chapter that you attend an event at - or you will not be covered by the insurance program that will repair you (with some limitations) if you have an accident at one of our events. The Waiver says that you will not sue the Company, the NERO Chapter, or its Affiliate if you get hurt at one of our events and is similar to the standards waivers signed by sports games participants.

Step 03) Create Your Character Persona: The Character Persona that you create will be placed in the NERO® Online Database. Complete this NERO LARP New Character Persona Online Form to create your character. This form can be filled out at any time. It will be forwarded to the NERO LARP Online Database Administrator who will add it to the NERO LARP Online Database within 2 business days. The addition of your info to the online database will become automatic sometime in 2006.

II.1) Here is what is included with a NERO® Membership;

A User ID and Password for the NERO® LARP Online Database will be e-mailed to the address specified.
An online subscription to the LARP Magazine. When you renew your Membership, you will get one free physical copy mailed to you with your membership card.
If a new member, a NERO® Rule Book© will be mailed to you at the postal mailing address specified.
A NERO® Membership Card will be mailed to you at the mailing address specified.
Accident/Medical Insurance while attending participating NERO LARP Chapter's Events.
NERO Memberships are honored at Every NERO LARP Chapter.
NERO Member & Character Tracking at www.NeroDB.com
Online Member Information Tracking at www.Nerodb.com, where you update your NERO Member Information.
Online Character Information Tracking, at www.Nerodb.com, where you update your Character Skills.
Up To Three Characters in the Online Character Database. Exceed 3 for $5.00 per year for up to 3 more.
Members Can View Their Character Experience Log for events attended.
Members can Update their Character Persona Skills Online.
Ability to send Your Character Card to the Chapter You Are Attending.
Ability to Print your Character Card (make 2 copies) and bring it with you to a NERO Event.
A complete Goblin Stamp Tracking System for staff and donation tracking. Every NERO Member has the ability to collect Goblin Points at local Chapters and spend Goblin Points at Any NERO Chapter when attending an Event (some low level 'capped' NERO Chapters do limit production purchase using goblin points so as not to impact/burden the game and to keep everyone on a level playing field.

II.2) Frequently Asked Questions about NERO® Membership Fees

Question: Are there any other charges for NERO® LARP Membership?

There are no further charges for membership, or any other Membership Fee that NERO Members pay when they attend a NERO® Event. Please note, however, that some NERO® Chapters do have a Boy Scouts of America surcharge (about $10 per year) and that NERO Members are required to pay for attendance at NERO Events. Some NERO LARP Chapters, including the NERO Office, have other types of Memberships that grant more benefits and privileges such as an NPC Member, Silver Member, and Gold Member.

Question: Do we get a Newsletter with our membership? If so, how often is it printed?
All NERO® Members receive an online subscription to the LARP Magazine. Visit http://larpmag.com.

Question: When will I receive my Membership Information?
All NERO® Member related materials will be sent to you within 10 business days from purchase.

Question: How does Character Updating Work?
Currently our members are encouraged to have an individual responsible for check-out at a NERO® LARP event to mark the total XP on their character card, and for them to bring that card back to the chapter which houses their membership and Character persona.

Question: How Do I Get My XP updated Online?
With the new NERO® LARP Online Database, a National Staff member (www.nerolarp.com Staff Contact button) and in some cases an individual designated by the Local Chapter Can Update Your Character XP and Goblin Points Online after Events.

Question: How do I get my Membership Information and Expiration date updated?
Members can update most of their own membership information. For the fields that are not updatable by NERO® Members, a National Staff member or their local Nero Chapter can apply updates. To have your Membership Expiration date updated, be sure to submit your annual Membership Dues HERE.

Question: Where can we buy NERO®, LARP, and RPG Equipment?
Members can purchase NERO LARP Related Fantasy Gaming Equipment, Boffer Weapons and Costumes at the NERO LARP Store , the NERO Live RPG Store, www.merchantswares.com, and www.NEROstuff.com . If these do not have what you need, try our friends.

Question: Where is the NERO Game that National Runs?
The NERO® Games that National runs are called NERO Avendale, NERO Ashbury and NERO Neridia.

Question: Can You Overnight The NERO Rule Book to Me and add me to the Online Database in 30 minutes?

Answer: We can accommodate Rush Orders but there is an additional fee of $25.00 for Overnight Mail and Rush Order Processing. Cal 914-309-7718 to have this done.
