My friends and I would like to start it but we've been having some problems with the site and have a few questions. 1. How old do you need to be to join? We have four 15 year olds, one 17 year old, and one 18. Could we all join? 2. The FIND A CHAPTER doesn't work and just brings up an invalid page. We live just outside of Albany and would like to know where the nearest place to go would be. 3. On average, how much do costumes/armor and weapons cost? Should we just make them ourselves? 4.Could someone explain the leveling system to me? I read the rules but it confused me a bit. You get a blanket of XP for how many build points you have but you have to spend build points for skills. So, do you have to save up build points to get more or what?

Everyone under 18 would have to have a signed legal release from their parents. 2. The website recently got a overhaul and it's not 100% yet. Do you mean Albany NY or Albany GA? 3. You can put together a basic costume for $20 at a thrift store. Weapons can be homemade or purchased. It would depend on the chapter as to if latex (purchased) weapons would be allowed. You can make a sword for about $10 in materials. 4. You start at 25 build. Each blanket you get gives you experience points equal to the amount of build you have. At each level there's a experience to build conversion ratio. You save up your build to buy new skills or upgrade the ones you have.

NERO uses a very complex formula- for every event you go to, you gain a certain amount of xp, which later converts into build (BP). Higher levels get less and less BP per event they attend. Bottom line is dont' worry about XP to start out, only BP. it will be easier to understand, after playing a bit.

I want to be a fighter but im not sure how to make it look like metal It depends on what kind of armor you want to wear. You can buy chain mail or plastic plate at various places online. Same for leather armor. You can make your own armor of any type, depending on your personal skill and ability to learn. I've seen armor made from nauga hide, cardboard, camp foam ,heck even the wire cover of an old fan (not recommended).
