NEW TV PROJECT IS SEARCHING FOR THE ULTIMATE HISTORIC and/or FANTASY LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAY GROUP!

From the Producer’s of History Channel’s Pawn Stars comes a brand new show dedicated to Historic and/or Fantasy Role Play and the people who love it (and live it!)

We’re searching the country for a passionate and talented group of Historic and/or Fantasy Live Action Role Play participants to feature on this new series, which will follow them as they battle their way from city to city.

If you or someone you know would be interested in participating in a TV Project dedicated 100% to Historic and/or Fantasy Live Action Role Play, we want to hear from you!

Please email us with some photos, a brief description of yourself and your group and why you’d be perfect for this show! Don’t forget to include your contact information.

I had a long conversation with Danielle yesterday, and I put my hat in the ring for the show. If you are interested, I recommend you, too, send something in. What they are looking for (my interpretation):

1. People that can be away from home for a few weeks/months as the show travels around the country.

2. People who are comfortable playing in different larps, from say, NERO to World of Darkness--the development exec specifically did NOT want fantasy foam combat campaigns every episode.

3. They are looking to build a team that travels, but that could be people who already know each other, or it might be a bunch of strangers. My thought is that they might encourage drama within the team that might be more dramatic than the conflicts in the larp.

If you want to be part of a group with me, let me know. I'm looking for specialists in different types of larps, so a good foam sword fighter, a good WoD undead manipulator, and a good shot with airsoft or nerf guns.
They want a few more men than women, but we have to have at least one female.

Note that Danielle has cast the TV show "Wife Swap", and put a couple involved with the SCA in there, and apparently, they were freaks of the week. So there is a possibility that Network wants another "freak of the week" show here.
Thanks to Aaron Vanek for this contribution

I think the idea of following a group around to various LARPs sounds like tough idea. Maybe it'll be done well, but it looks like they're more interested in the relationships within the group more than anything else.

I still don't know how I feel about this.

I like the idea of this. I really do.

But I have an intense distrust of these reality things. They ruin a lot of lives.
