Information you choose to provide
You can browse this website without registering for a membership. If you contact us by email or phone, you choose what information to provide, such as your name, contact details, and question. That information is used to respond to your inquiry. Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, or other sensitive personal information by email.
NERO does not sell visitor information, share it for advertising, or use contact inquiries for email marketing. We do not maintain a visitor contact database for those purposes.
Technical information and website services
The site runs on WordPress and is hosted by Hostinger. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, and access times to deliver the website, diagnose problems, and protect against misuse. LiteSpeed Cache helps deliver pages efficiently.
We use Jetpack services provided by Automattic for site statistics and login protection. Jetpack Stats processes page views, outbound link clicks, referring URLs, IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, language and country, and WordPress.com account identifiers when applicable. NERO receives statistical reports rather than a list identifying individual visitors. Automattic states that its Stats logs are retained for 28 days. Login protection processes attempted usernames or email addresses, IP addresses, and failed login information. See Jetpack’s privacy information and Automattic’s visitor privacy notice.
Cookies and your browser choices
WordPress uses cookies for sign-in, security, and account preferences when you use its login or administration features. Service providers may also use cookies or similar technology for the features described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so may affect sign-in or other features. Blocking cookies does not prevent all server logging.
Membership, purchases, and other websites
Membership registration and account management take place at NERO Online. Shop purchase links take you to DriveThruRPG. Membership and payment information entered on those services is handled there, rather than through a checkout form on nerolarp.com. This policy does not describe all data practices of those separate services. Review their privacy notices before providing information.
Links to chapter websites, social networks, NERO Anytime, and other destinations take you to services with their own privacy practices. Third-party content, if displayed within a page, may send technical information to its provider when loaded.
Retention and access
NERO does not keep visitor information for advertising or marketing. This does not mean that all technical records disappear when you leave the site: hosting, security, statistics, and email providers may retain records under their own service policies. Messages you send may remain in the email service used to receive or answer them. Contact us if you want us to check for or remove correspondence you have sent.
Website service providers process information needed to operate their services. Information may also need to be disclosed or preserved when required by law or to address security incidents. We do not promise that every provider’s records can be immediately erased.
Privacy requests
Email Jvalenti@nerolarp.com to ask what personal information NERO holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Identify the correspondence or account involved without sending unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Applicable law determines your rights and any exceptions, including records that must be retained. For information held by NERO Online, DriveThruRPG, or another service, use that service’s privacy contact as well.
Children and family participation
Parents or guardians should handle inquiries involving children and avoid sending a child’s personal information unnecessarily. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information that should be removed. Membership and event participation requirements are handled through NERO Online and the relevant chapter.
